Types of personal data we collect
Certain personal information is collected about users and visitors to our Sites.
The most common types of information we collect include things like: user-names, member names, email addresses, IP addresses, other contact details, survey responses, blogs, photos, payment information such as payment agent details, transactional details, tax information, support queries, forum comments (if applicable), content you direct us to make available on our Sites (such as item descriptions), your actions on our Sites (including any selections or inputs into items) and web and email analytics data. We will also collect personal information from job applications (such as, your CV, the application form itself, cover letter and interview notes).
How personal data is collected
When you give us personal information, we collect it directly. This can be automatically when you browse the Sites or by other people when you use the services that are associated with them.
We collect your personal information when you provide it to us when you complete membership registration and buy or provide items or services on our Sites, subscribe to a newsletter, email list, submit feedback, enter a contest, fill out a survey, or send us a communication.
We have a legitimate right to verify the identity of our authors as the operator of digital content platforms. Knowing who our authors are will help to strengthen the integrity and security of our marketplaces. It will reduce fraud and make authors more accountable for the content they create. Customers and Miicrojobs can also enforce contracts against authors who violate the rules. There are legal obligations that we must know the identity of our authors in certain situations. We will ask you for a Photo ID document to verify your identity if you are author. Miicrojobs verify is the verification process. You will need to take a photo of yourself as part of the verification process. This will be used to compare your Photo ID document with facial recognition technology. After the verification process is complete, we will only use your Photo ID document to verify and then delete it.
We collect Your personal information from others.
We generally collect your personal information directly from the person you contact, but we may occasionally collect certain types of information from other sources. Particular:
To process a transaction, payment providers in the US, UK and Australia will need financial and/or transaction information.
If you use Miicrojobs, third-party service providers (like Google or Facebook) may have access to information you provide when you connect, link, or log into your account with them. They may also send you information, such as your profile and registration information. This information can change and be controlled by the service provider, or as you authorize via your privacy settings at that provider.
We may also receive information from third parties/and/or partners in Australia, the US, or the UK. This information is combined with information we already have about you. Service providers such as identity verification services may send fraud warnings. Through partnerships, we also have information about you and your activities. We also get information about your interactions with our partner networks. Information about you as rights holder is also received from third-party authors. Information such as a model release if your image is used on an item we make available on our Sites.
How we use personal information
We will use your personal data:
To fulfill a contract or take steps related to a contract. In particular, facilitate and process transactions that take place via the Sites. For example, where you buy an item from our Marketplace.
If this is necessary to serve legitimate purposes of us or third parties. These interests include:

- To be used for purposes that are legally required.
- For the purpose of responding to requests by government, a court of law, or law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation.
When we disclose your personal information

- Companies that are part of the Miicrojobs Group
- If applicable, please provide the names of authors of any items and services that you have made available to them, in order to facilitate support or license validation.
- Subcontractors and service suppliers who help us with personal information use (as described above) include: Website hosting providers located in Australia and the UK; technical support and customer support services that are located within Australia, Canada and Mexico; recruitment agencies located in Australia and the US; security, fraud prevention and services that are located inside the US; subscription management and payment processing services that are located outside the US, UK, and Australia; identification verification and tooling services located at the UK; and payment processing services that are located within the US. It is important to note that subcontractors and service providers can also access and transfer such information from countries where they operate.

Where we store and transfer your personal data.
Your data will be processed in the USA as we are located in the US. Some of the recipients that we have mentioned in section 10 and to whom you may disclose personal data are located in the US, Canada, Ireland and Mexico. This policy guides us in our decisions. We work with service providers and subcontractors to ensure your privacy.

Personal information is stored on secure servers managed by us or our service providers. Sometimes, hard copies of files are also kept in secure locations in Us, Australia, Ireland and Mexico.
